I have unforgettable remember during pop culture class. Actually, I was afraid about class, because I speak English very bad and it made I am not confident. But, teacher and classmates are very nice and they understand to me. Thank you.

I learned many things during this class. Specially, I thought what culture is to me and what culture influence to us. Now I can answer about that. Culture is myself like my life. We can make and choose cultures and then it make that culture is develop and we can be grown by culture in society. Of course, the other people may not agree about it but, it is not important because I got my answer about culture, so I am winner.

I am sometimes surprised during this class but, now I think that it is a good experience. Specially, I learned about African American history. I was touched about that because, they was very hard and had many problems but, they have overcome and now American president is African American. So I respect them and I want to know about them more.

 I told to us before how I will use about learning in class. I will use pop culture for charity. I want to work for company like world vision or UNICEF. So I need to get donation to many people. If I use pop culture to get donation, it will be effective more. Therefore, I will study hard about culture and I want to know more about it.

           I went to concert for Halloween day. When I arrived there I thought that it is not well. Because when I first arrived there, there was a little people. But. It was not true. It made unforgotten memory to me. There were many people after 12 am and I could not move the other place for a lot of people. I and my friends danced with the other people who meet in concert hall and we had a good time.

           When I took first class, I told to classmates and teacher about I like to go to concerts. Specifically, I like electronic music. So I always check about electronic concert. Finally, I found about that and I went to there. Additionally, dada life is very Famous DJ in the world and they was ranked 11 in the world DJ chart.

           I like to go to concert. I am not sure I went to concert about 12 times in this year and I spent a lot of money. But I got a good experiences and I got rid of stress. So I think the experiences value more than my money and I will not stop to go to concerts.

           The reading is about the fast food is important. The writer talk about fast food is very favorite food in china and Hong kong consumes the most fast food in the world. Specially, there are restaurant like café de cral which makes fusion fast food, because, by leaving variety of Chinese recipes, many Chinese can have familiar by fast food and it made reinvent Chinese cuisine in the form of fast food. Finally,  if we make restaurant we have to consider associated cultural as well as food and it improves cultural diversity. I think that we live in globalization. We need to consider cultures of the other countries. So how we can do approach them the best way is food, the food have been with their history from long time ago, so if we make restaurant, we have to consider to make fusion food which combine traditional method of the country and then I am sure you can get a lot of money and it can improves the spread of cultural diversity in globalization

Frist, I have liked to watch movie, so I was confident before learning about movie in class. But, now I think that my knowledge was very bad and my forecast was broken. It was very hard. Because teacher taught movie with culture. So I needed to think deep more. Specially, Tyler Perry’s money machine was very impressing. Because it is very sensitive topic to take class about human race. But, teacher and we resolved the topic.

I have Aha moment. When we had presentation about poster movie, I was surprised, because some people got same topic but, they had different presentation. On the moment, I got Aha moment. I realized that creative think changed in the world.

When I watched movie, it was one of the way to feel the joy. But now I think that the movie has each other them, and it reflects the generation. I want to name that it is advocacy. Of course, every movies do not have advocacy, but I learned about movie in class so, when I watch movie I will make effort to find the advocacy.

The movie have them and it reflects the generation and problems in the world. So when I watch movie I will think deep more than before and I learned about terms of movie, so I will use the terms to my friends like expert

Frist, I proud to write reflection for unit 2 because, I thought that I give up before I write this. The unit 2 is very nice but, I spent very long time for learning. Specifically, pop culture studies was very hard because, to get a lot of information was hard to my brain. So I am sorry to my brain but, the other learning is very nice. Second, I wondered why teacher choose Justin Bieber to explain about star. Actually, Justin Bieber is not good choice because, many people do not like him. So I recommend Michael Jackson he is very nice singer and star. Despite, he was gone, he has been star. if you choose him on next class, your student will understand about star more than Justin Bieber.

I have aha moment. When I prepared presentation about 1980’s fad. I discovered that fad have come back again. Disco was fad in Korea in the 1980 and then Disco also came back again in 2001. So I thought that despite it take long time, the fad come back again. It is my aha moment.

Pop culture is love of mass (people). To be Pop star or to be pop culture needs love of mass (people). Because, pop means commercial popular music. Popular music is decided by amount of people. Therefore, I think that pop culture is love of people.

I learned about pop culture and I will use pop culture for charity. I want to work for company like world vision or UNICEF. Reflection

 

Every class and assignments were very interesting. Of course. Assignments sometimes bothers to me but now I am fine. Actually, our textbook make that I am bored. For example, when I read soma page, i felt like to eat sleeping pills. But I did overcome it the other hand, to research and CIP were interesting. When I did homework. I did not know many things like counter culture, ethnographer and define American. So I tried research many times to get information it was a good experience and I have improved research ability. CIP also gave to a good experience. First I was hard to use computer because I just used computer researching, doing Facebook, watching movie. But now I can post video and make blog.

I have aha moment it is that we discussed about culture shock. When our group discussed culture shock of my country. I told to them that some Korean eat dogs for health. Of course, I never eat it. but their face was bad and they hated about it. so I thought that aha ” I never talk to people about it” and i should am carefully because if I discuss about it there are Zoophiles, They will kill me. So I will be carefully and it is my aha moment.

I have learned a lot of information about culture in class. So now I can define that culture is ourselves. Of course, the other people think different. But, I think that culture is our expression and make by ourselves

         I didn’t know that relationship culture and iceberg. Korean who are young people think that iceberg is often likened to women thinking. Women talk to men own thinking. But men understand just the tip of an iceberg. So I was interested that iceberg is likened to culture and I am going to use it when someone ask culture, I will explain with iceberg.
